Preparing to Pickup Your Salt Lake City Campervan Rental

Welcome to Salt Lake City, Utah. It’s a great town and the start of your journey, whether you’re exploring National Parks like the Mighty Five or Tetons and Yellowstone, Salt Lake is an idea launching point and Basecamper Vans is here to outfit you with the campervan, gear, and information to have an enjoyable trip.

Essential Documents and Identification Required

When you made your reservation for a campervan rental, you had an opportunity to read and e-sign a copy of our rental agreement. When you arrive, we will ask for you to sign a paper copy and show identification. So long as your identification is in Latin script, we don’t need an International Drivers’ License.

Understanding Rental Policies and Terms

Airport Transport and Hotel Recommendations

Most customers fly into Salt Lake International (KSLC) and either hire a rideshare (Lyft or Uber) to our depot or take the light rail Green Line train from Terminal 1 to the 2100 South Central Pointe exit which is 100 meters from our depot. If you are a local customer, please inquire ahead of time about leaving your vehicle in our parking lot, but it is an option. Salt Lake City is a mid-size metropolitan area with hotel chains at any price points from the Grand America (https://www.grandamerica.com/) to a Motel 6. We recommend the Evo hotel (https://www.evohotel.com/salt-lake-city) which is a mid-price option close to local dining and recreational opportunities to experience a campervan trip in Salt Lake City before checking out your vehicle. If you need any additional advice on where to stay or what to do if you arrive a day earlier, feel free to ask.
